My name is Alaleh Shakourianfard, and I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I received my Master’s of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University in 2016, and my Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from York University in 2013.
In my practice, I support individuals that are experiencing difficult life situations and transitions, leading to stress, anxiety, and depression. I provide a safe space for clients to explore themselves and help them develop new insights and skills.
My experience has provided me with a wide range of knowledge, which includes providing therapy and facilitating groups with youth and with women experiencing trauma.
My previous experience includes providing treatments to clients in both private practice and community programs.
I like to take a client-centered, collaborative and integrative approach to my work, drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and Narrative Therapy.
